The photographer behind the camera
My name is Janelle Poitras; originally from Southern Maine but now living in Connecticut. I graduated from Stonehill College, double majoring in Marketing and Mediated Communications. While in college, I created my photography business. During that time, I built my portfolio and honed in on my interest in social media through my internships in the live entertainment industry at NBC in Los Angeles and Hot Radio Maine and through various classes.
My passion for photography is driven by the relationships I have in my life with friends and family. Memories I can capture with them are special to me and something I want to provide for others to look back on. I look forward to shooting your special moments in time and working with you to bring your creative vision to life!

Traveling
Traveling has always been one of my favorite activities. I love seeing new places, escaping to unique scenery, and meeting new people. I have the most fun traveling with friends and enjoying each other's company or with family making memories.

Exploring
If I can't travel far, I enjoy finding a way to explore. Living close to Providence and Boston has allowed me to go out and try new restaurants, bars, and popular spots with friends. My location also gives me easy access to any events in the area.
I've also been able to do some shoots in the city.
Concerts
Anyone who knows me knows how passionate I am about concerts. I have been to over 70+ shows ranging from various artists such as Coldplay, Post Malone, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and even a Metallica concert (only for an hour, but still).
I love attending them as a fan, but I love doing concert photos even more.
